Once upon a time there was a sad Innkeeper, who longed for her halcyon days in New York as an artist. As she wistfully plodded through her day to day activities, visions of new art concepts and plein air painting excursions danced through her head. When Ginny rents a cottage on an island in Maine, she has an uphill battle – the cottage is cold, neglected and inhabited by its deceased owner — Lawrence S. Hall,  writer of the prize-winning short story, The Ledge.   Despite rumors that Hall’s ghost is on the premises, Ginny, a writer, hopes to  complete her novel in solitude. Instead, she is besieged –  by curious islanders, characters from The Ledge, and by Hall himself.
This play is about writers and writing, cold houses, love, life, death – and life after death.
